Globally prohibited items include: narcotics and illegal substances, explosives and weapons, counterfeit goods, live animals (without special permits), certain chemicals, and cash. Specific carriers have additional restrictions. Please contact us before shipping any regulated, perishable, or unusual cargo so we can advise on requirements.

Air Freight

Air freight transit times from Nigeria: UK/Europe 2–4 days, USA 3–5 days, Asia 4–6 days, Middle East 2–3 days. Express services can deliver to major hubs within 24–48 hours. Transit time excludes weekends, public holidays, and customs clearance time at destination.
Air freight is charged on the higher of actual weight or volumetric (chargeable) weight. Volumetric weight = (Length × Width × Height in cm) ÷ 6000. Other factors affecting cost include: destination, service level (express vs standard), commodity type, fuel surcharges, and handling fees. We provide fully transparent, itemized quotations.
Yes. Air freight is ideal for perishables including fresh produce, flowers, seafood, and pharmaceuticals requiring cold chain management. We work with specialized cool chain cargo handlers and temperature-controlled aircraft holds to maintain product integrity throughout transit.
Key air freight export documents include: Air Waybill (AWB), Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Form NXP (for Nigerian exports), Shipper's Letter of Instruction, and any commodity-specific permits. Our team assists with preparing and verifying all documentation before shipment.

Sea Freight

FCL (Full Container Load) — Your cargo occupies an entire 20ft or 40ft container exclusively. Best for large shipments (10+ CBM), providing better security, faster transit, and lower per-unit cost at scale.

LCL (Less than Container Load) — Your cargo shares container space with other shippers. Ideal for smaller volumes (under 10 CBM), with costs based on actual cargo volume. More economical for smaller businesses.
Approximate transit times from Nigerian ports:

• UK / Europe: 20–30 days
• USA East Coast: 25–35 days
• USA West Coast: 35–45 days
• Asia (China/India): 30–40 days
• Middle East: 20–28 days

Transit times vary by vessel schedule and routing. We provide exact sailing dates and ETAs at booking.
We operate primarily from Apapa Port and Tin Can Island Port in Lagos — Nigeria's busiest sea ports. We also handle shipments through Onne Port (Rivers State) and Calabar Port. Our haulage team provides container collection from all these terminals.
Required documents for sea freight imports into Nigeria include: Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Combined Certificate of Value and Origin (CCVO), Form M, Pre-Arrival Assessment Report (PAAR), and regulatory certificates (NAFDAC, SON, etc.) where applicable. Our team guides you through all requirements.
🏛

Customs Clearance

With complete documentation and an experienced broker, customs clearance typically takes 3–7 business days at Nigerian ports. Factors that can delay clearance include: incomplete documents, physical examination of cargo, regulatory agency holds (NAFDAC, SON), or payment queries. Our team actively pursues expedited clearance on every shipment.
Form M is a mandatory import document for goods entering Nigeria above the regulatory value threshold. It is opened through a commercial bank before the goods are shipped and covers the terms of payment for the import. Without Form M, your goods cannot be cleared through Nigerian Customs. We assist importers with the Form M application process from start to finish.
PAAR (Pre-Arrival Assessment Report) is a mandatory Nigerian Customs document generated by a licensed customs agent using the Risk Assessment System (RAS) before cargo arrives. It determines the applicable duty and identifies whether goods will be subject to physical examination. Our customs team processes PARRs on your behalf promptly once shipping documents are received.
Yes. We are experienced in managing all regulatory agency clearances including: NAFDAC (food, drugs, cosmetics, chemicals), SON Standards Organization, NESREA (environmental/chemical compliance), NAQS (agricultural products), and DPR (petroleum products). We advise clients on required certificates before shipment to avoid delays at port.
Nigerian import duties are calculated on the CIF (Cost + Insurance + Freight) value of goods using the applicable tariff rate from the ECOWAS Common External Tariff (CET). Additional levies may include VAT (7.5%), CISS levy (1%), ETLS levy, and port charges. We calculate and advise on all applicable costs before shipment to avoid surprises.

Export to UK

Essential documents for Nigeria–UK exports include: Commercial Invoice (with full goods description and value), Packing List, Bill of Lading or Air Waybill, Certificate of Origin, Form NXP (Nigerian export declaration), and any commodity-specific permits or health certificates. For goods subject to UK import controls, additional HMRC documentation may be required. Our team prepares and verifies all documents.
Nigeria to UK transit times: Air freight: 3–7 business days. Sea freight: 20–30 days. For urgent shipments, we recommend air freight. For large or heavy cargo where cost is priority, sea freight is more economical. We can also offer a mixed solution for different cargo types in the same consignment.
UK import duties depend on the commodity HS code, declared value, and applicable UK Global Tariff rates. Some goods may benefit from reduced or zero duty rates under specific trade frameworks. VAT (20%) is generally applicable on all imports above the £135 threshold. Our team advises on applicable duty rates and ensures full HMRC compliance for your UK consignments.
Yes. Through our UK agent network, we arrange last-mile delivery to any address in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland following port arrival and customs clearance. Delivery timelines within the UK are typically 1–3 business days after customs release.

We accept the following payment methods: Bank transfer (NGN and USD accounts), online payment via bank transfer reference, and corporate cheques for verified business accounts. For regular clients, we offer credit account arrangements with agreed payment terms. Contact us to discuss payment options that work for your business.
Our standard freight quotes cover logistics costs (ocean/air freight charges, handling, documentation, and agency fees). Customs duties, government levies, and port charges are generally quoted separately as they depend on the nature and value of the goods. We always provide a full cost breakdown including estimated duties on request so you have complete visibility before shipping.
Yes. We offer preferential rates for clients with regular or high-volume shipping needs. This includes dedicated account management, priority handling, and negotiated carrier rates. Contact our business development team to discuss a tailored logistics agreement for your company.
